The Grammy Award winning singer told fans at London's Hard Rock Cafe - where he was playing a set - that he will be performing a series of "intimate" gigs in September. The opening concert will be at the National Indoor Arena in Birmingham on 8 September 2008. Other Stevie Wonder dates include Manchester, London, Holland, Sweden, Germany, Norway and Italy. The tour culminates on September 28 at the Bercy in Paris. Stevie Wonder's career has earned him 49 Top 40 singles, 32 No 1 singles, and an Academy Award - said: "I am looking forward to performing in these venues in Europe." Stevie Wonder's London date will be at The O2 Arena / Millennium Dome on the Greenwich Peninsula on Thursday September 11th 2008. Stevie Wonder (born Stevland Hardaway Judkins on May 13, 1950, name later changed to Stevland Hardaway Morris) is an American singer-songwriter and record producer. A prominent figure of 20th century popular music, Wonder has won 25 Grammy Awards (a record for a solo artist), plus one for lifetime achievement, won an Academy Award for Best Song and been inducted into both the Rock and Roll and Songwriters halls of fame. Wonder has also been awarded the Polar Music Prize.
